Salsa in the Streets

Salsa in the Streets emerged from my passion for dance, community, and a deep connection to my Puerto Rican heritage. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant aesthetics of Puerto Rican culture from the 1950s to the 1980s, I conducted in-depth research to honor the legacy of Boricua artists who empowered their communities through art.

Guided by these creative pioneers, I developed a series of dynamic posters that energized dance scenes in Gainesville and Tampa, Florida. This project expanded into a comprehensive design system, featuring social media content and T-shirt designs, attracting hundreds of attendees to weekly events.
